Congressional App Challenge
The Congressional App Challenge (CAC) is an annual nationwide competition aimed at encouraging middle and high school students to learn coding and develop their own software applications. Established by the U.S. House of Representatives in 2013, the CAC seeks to promote engagement in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education fields. Winning apps are eligible to be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building and featured on the House of Representatives website, House.gov. Winning students are invited to the #HouseofCode Capitol Hill Reception in Washington, D.C. Additionally, winners receive waived copyright registration application fees through the ARTS Act.
